Most hunters heading into pig killer territory are deer hunters looking for some action in the off-seasons. Which makes perfect sense given that feral hog hunting is allowed in most areas year round!
The feral hog population is escalating in the Acadiana area of Louisiana, and, according to one resident, it’s time to put a stop to their escalating numbers — using any means necessary.
A Louisiana hunter identified only as “Duckaholic” wrote to the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries stating that the feral hog population in Louisiana will soon be “out of control” if hunting restrictions aren’t lowered.
Local leaders in Anderson County, South Carolina have called in the South Carolina Wild Hog Task Force to educate residents on how to protect their property as the feral hog problem in the county continues to grow exponentially.
